Frequently asked questions
If your question is not here, call 04 213 8369 and we will talk it through.
Which facial is right for me?
That is exactly what your first visit works out. We look at your skin, talk about what you want to change or protect, and recommend a facial that fits, whether that is a deep cleanse, hydration or a gentle glow before an event. You do not need to know the menu, you just need to tell us your skin story.
How often should I book a facial?
Every four to six weeks suits most skin, matching its natural renewal cycle. If we are working on something specific, like congestion or dullness, we might suggest a closer series to start. And if regular visits are not realistic, a facial each season is still far better than none.
Is there downtime after a facial?
For most facials, none. Your skin may look slightly flushed for an hour or so, then settle into that fresh, hydrated look. We recommend skipping makeup for the rest of the day if you can, and we will tell you clearly if a treatment needs any extra aftercare.
Does brow lamination damage your brows?
Not when it is done properly and your brows get a sensible break between treatments. We use gentle products, follow the correct timings and finish with nourishment. Aftercare matters too: keep the brows dry for the first day and avoid harsh products on them.
How long does brow lamination last?
Typically four to six weeks, depending on your hair and how you care for it. The brows gradually relax back to their natural pattern rather than suddenly changing, so it never looks abrupt. A tint alongside softens over a similar window.
What should I avoid before waxing?
For a day or two before, skip strong exfoliants, retinoids and sunbathing on the area, and let the hair grow to at least a few millimetres so the wax can grip. If you are on any skin medication, tell us when you book, as some prescriptions make skin too delicate to wax safely.
I have sensitive or reactive skin. Can you still treat me?
Yes, gently. Tell us what your skin reacts to and we will adjust products and pressure, or patch test first if you prefer. Softness is the whole idea here, so we would rather go carefully and build up than overdo it on day one.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We understand plans change. Give us as much notice as you can, ideally twenty four hours, so someone else can take the time. A quick message is fine, and we will happily find you another spot.
